Custom Adirondack Signs

I just finished up a custom order for 3 signs for a client in New York. The project took place over the course of two months, and I am very pleased with how they all came out. There were two of these "No Trespassing" signs that are 32"h by 26"w, overall. The base is made from 1" shiplap Pine that is finished with a brown exterior stain. Birch sticks and twigs are used for the border and letters, laid over White Birch bark. The border sticks are predrilled and screwed on with exterior screws and the letters are attached with brad nails. Leaving some overhang on the top and bottom borders and leaving some of the branches intact adds further character. I added some small twig accents on the corners as well. The signs are finished with exterior PolyWhey to give them added protection in their outdoor location.

Welcome Sign

This is a custom order Welcome sign that I just finished up. It is routed into a fun piece of 1" Pine that has lots of character with it's natural shape and knots. The letters are painted white with an exterior paint so that they really stand out, and the rest is finished with Cabot Timber oil to give it good protection from the elements. Twig Signs

I just finished up another twig/Adirondack style sign for a customer. This custom order was a street sign look, made on a 1" by 5" piece of rough cut Pine. The letters, which spelled out Hunter's Park, were made from White Birch branches. I provided a post for the rustic sign and finished the project with several coats of exterior polywhey finish.
